MDI questions

hi

I have a HTC HD fone (which I can charge in my current car using the 12v/USB cable ) and I hope that anyone knows answers to the following:

• Will the MDI also charge the fone ?
• The fone is a media player - will it need to be connected as a disk drive for the music to play on the car stereo ?
• If in disk mode will the fone function still work ?

The fone runs Windoze Mobile 6.1.

What I am hoping is that I can keep the fone charged, use it for fone calls & play my music. I also intend getting the fiscon btooth and figure that will use the bluetooth on the fone for calls etc

Anyone have any ideas ?

OK. I was going to say if you were up here that you could come and try it in mine. I'm sure the dealers will have an MDI fitted car - take it in and try it?

What sort of plug does it have ? I know you can get different plugs for the MDI such as USB (and maybe mini usb).

It has USB but I could add a usb to mini usb cable to attach the fone

when you plug in the phone to the pc (without software etc.) what does it do ? Does it come up as a thumb drive or does it look for software ? If it comes up as a thumb drive and you can see the music it could work.
