Just did an oil and filter change on the little beastie. Being a high mileage and the engine is on its way out, I use and highly recommend Valvolines MaxLife engine oil. It really stands among other oils I have used. The tappets were really noisy using another brand of 'older model' engine oil, this stuff just lets you here the true VW noises the engine makes.

Have'nt done one since I have owned the Little Beastie, my mechanic Michael at CVWC says the engine on its' way out slowly. Mind you we pulled up at a set of traffic lights with the windows done and you could not hear my car over the clatter coming from a 90s early 00s Hyundai Lantra. Just reassures you that well Ok with a heart transplant in the future, the Little Beastie is on the road after 31 years, whilst the Hyundai probably won't last 2 decades.Old Skool Passat Power Rules!!!
