Not missing much. The RS4 rims suit the RS4. They look crap on a Passat! The R36 rims come in 19 inches if you want bigger (which actually compromises handling) and actually suit the car.

They probably cost a stupid amount of money.

they were actually reps, so were pretty cheap...from memory about 500 a wheel....i thought they looked okay, but it needed to be lower with the 19's....

i am looking at getting some 19's, and they will be lighter than the stock 18's and a little more than 500 a corner

Everyone welcome to their opinion. The most comments l get on the car are about how good the rims look on it. As far as compromising handling, have you tried them? My backyard is the great ocean road and l can tell you the handling is brilliant and not one bit compromised by the 19's. Have had other great handling cars but this is by far the best.

Yep, nice rims.... Not sure i think they are that much better looking than the standard ones that I would cough up the different. Lets face, the standard rims are fantastic anyway so it really comes down to a personal choice on how much you want to change the look.

exactly apom! Why spend un-necessary dollars when the standard ones look fantastic and perform really well too?

as to why, well everyone's idea of an unnecessary spend is different, why get the r36 over the v6 highline....??
