Engine remap for 1998 1.8T passat

Hi All,

i would sincerely appreciate any advise from anyone who has thought of / has gone through an engine remap for a passat (1998 /1999 1.8 trip-tronic turbo).
i hear that the improvement in engine performance is quite impressive....but i am a little concerned as to whether it will cause damage or problems with the engine in the future.....also the cost is quite considerable.

any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Regardless of which product you use there is always some onus of responsibility on the owner to use the best - 98 - octane fuel the whole time, and meet regular servicing targets once the engine is tuned, particularly in a turbocharged situation. Make sure you get a reputable tuner, not the cheapest one, and you should get some great results
