Can I ask were you got the tint done?
I am looking to get my Passat windows tinted, but am finding it hard to get the colour / look I am after?
Do you have any info on the brand / specs of the tint?

Thanks for the comments. It's a 09 model with every option except Dynaudio. When I picked it up it had 44km's and has now done 3,000. The Tint was done at the dealership, I went to a professional tint place but they said Passats are difficult to tint because you have to remove the door trim to get to the bottom of the window. They told me that if you get it tinted somewhere other than the dealership keep an eye out for scratches around the top of the door trim.

Name and shame! They certainly aren't very "professional" if that's what they told you. The guy that's tinted every single one of my last 8 cars since 1997, including my R36, did my R36 with the door trims ON. He said it would be a whole lot easier to do if he took them off but didn't want to on such a nice new car. I actually watched him do the last window when I went in to pick it up. It was the first time he'd done a current model Passat and while it was a challenge, it certainly is an awesome job.
Bottom line though, door trims don't have to be removed.

Rocket, dude, I'm dying of suspense here! I'm also needing to get my tint done but have held off to find a place that can do it without removing the trims...Right, spit it out - where are they & who should I speak to!
