the gruppem is about 1,000 AUD delivered.
"80,000 yen is approx $1,130 plus $12,000 yen shipping $165.00 and if you are lucky it will slip through customs otherwise add $113.00 duty, then GST onThe freight , duty and the goods $141.00 and customs charge $56.00 and broker fee $125.00 plus warehousing $75.00. Total $1,850.00."
Where can you get it from for $1000 AU delivered?

Before you spend your cold hard cash on air intakes - consider the legalities - To the best of my knowledge, it is not legal in any state to have an exposed airfilter - in this case - it is exposed under the bonnet (And its pretty obvious when its opened for inspection!).
If you can use one that is fully enclosed, then you negate this problem - always check with your local authorities first!

Its not an issue to have an exposed airfilter but it is an issue to have no filter at all - this is to do with emissions more than anything else.
There are no regulations (In NSW at least) that stop CAI other than they must not degrade the emission spec of the original vehicle.
So unless its in the inside original airbox ANY inspection station will spot a CAI inc the gruppe m - they are not really that stealth when it shouts - LOOK AT ME, I AM CARBON FIBRE!!!
So the issue would be more a warranty / manufacturer voided issue not a legality issue I feel unless you are being silly and the cops decide to be annoying and try to defect it by checking your vehicle over.
