We've become a statistic-dead RNS510

went to go for a drive yesterday morning and for no obvious reason the rns510 screen, sounds, sat nav, radio is DEAD . tried holding the on/off for a LLOOONNGG time but nuthin.

checked fuses etc but shes a gonna.

so its off to the dealer next week to find out why?

The issues around this RNS510 are terrible, obviously it was released to market a little too soon.

I can say that one the few problems have been fixed, the RNS510 is a fantastic bit of kit and I'm glad I got it rather than the old MFD sat nav system.

Old thread, but I've got the same issue with my 2009 Passat. The RNS510 is completely dead. Fuses are all OK. Anything else??
