    My wife just a new passat station wagon tdi and one of the keys when put into the ignition all the displays in the dash are in german, but our spare key is in english.Is there anything i can do to change it around or do i have to take it back to the dealer

    Just give the dealers service dept a quick call and see what they say.

      There may be some guidance in the owners manual.

        Had the same issue as dealers usually only set up the one key but not the "spare'. I did not notice til I used the "Spare" key to deliver car to the tint shop. (Spare key is hidden from wife as she is only allowed to drive MY baby when I am there to supervise).

        You can change the language via the MFD - see Manual booklet 3.1 page 24 or the dealer if you can't follow the manual.

          I had the same problem with mine - the wife's key was fine, mine wasn't.

          Going through the MFD, the steps are:

          Enter Setup.
          Go to "Spreche" - German for speak/language.
          Select "Englisch".

          And Bob's your uncle. Takes about 2 minutes, even if you don't speak German.
