Wow, didn't know this, did a quick google search and found some articles confirming it. Thanks for the tip Rocket36

I'm not supporting the Ford in any way but they sell so many Territories that the problems are spotted quicker.

Still unsure how we'll go with getting 3 baby seats in the back of the R36.
Will try to get one for a few days from a dealer (wish me luck) and see how I go fitting them in.

I was also told about this when I bought my passat wagon that you can fit 3 baby seats in the rear... Though I am of the belief that this can only happen with the VW made baby seats....Which are not available in Australia.

Also note that the middle seat does not have the seat belt tension that is needed to secure the seat... I don't have kids but have a little nephew that visits often and the middle seat belt doesn't provide adequate tension or support...

Also no point contacting VW as when I had my issue with the middle they could not help as they are not licenced to do so and told me to ring Baby Co.. Even though it was a question about the car...

      Food for thought

          Another R36'er from NSW

Hi all, I had a quiet weekend and kept away from the computer as that is all I do all week. I'm the 14th NSW 36'er and live in the south of Sydney near my Bundeena and Menai buddies. I think that there are many more 36'ers than this site know's about as I see plenty in my area around Blakehurst. Most of them mummies with kids. I always wonder, if the mums are driving the 36, what are the dad's driving?

          have a great week all!!

Maybe a few of the "south" guys should meet up for a coffee somewhere. It'd be nice to have a car park full of R36's look look at while we sip a latte.

I'm 20km east of Melbourne CBD, but drive to work in the city most days in my Blue R36 Wagon. I've seen a black R36sedan a couple of times going down Hoddle St at about 6:30pm... is that you ?

Looks like I'm the 16th NSW R36'er. I live in Clovelly in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. Work in the CBD and often see 2 black and one white R36 wagons on my way to work. Also spotted a blue one parked on Castlereagh St at lunchtime today. Always brings a smile to my face.
