It would also depend on the offset on the rim that you have. The RS4 rims had the exact same offset as the standard rims. Not sure what yours are but that may be the issue.

The tyres are slightly wider at 245 as opposed to 235, so this may be the cause of the rubbing issue.

Any issues with the pressure monitoring system after changing wheels..Is it a simple thing to replace the sensors? Are the sensors in the valves?
      Thanks

My understanding of the pressure monitoring system in the R36 (as explained to me yesterday when i picked up my new pride and joy!!!) is that the sensors actually dont measure tyre pressure! They simply use the wheel sensors to measure wheel rotations and if there is a wheel deflation its rotation will be different and therefore activate the alarm system... anyone had any dealings with it?

          245 looks a lot better than 235

Go with 245's if you can. I did and the wider stance looks a lot better.

I know it doesn't seem like much but it is noticeable.

Also, the wheel offset is important, to get that wider looking stance, and to avoid wheel arch scrubbing.

That's what I was told when I picked mine up too. I'm a bit sceptical about that though. I mean really, how much difference is there between the normal pressure setting and the higher one as far as rotation is concerned?

There's probably enough difference in the rolling diameters for the system to comprehend it.

I've dealt with trains with AC traction systems firing out power to 4 motors effectively in parallel. They were sensitive enough that they would shut down after about 1-2 days (roughly 500-600km distance travelled) with a difference in wheel diameter of as little as 1.5mm over wheels with a nominal diameter of around 850mm.

I currently have a screw in my LHR tyre.......every 3 days the light comes on. Pressure drop to about 32 PSI from 40PSI. Must get it fixed!!

They are on the valve stems, inside the tyre. You will need to get a new sealing kit to reseal the tyre pressure monitoring valve stems on the new rims.
