  • Comfort Control Module 1999 Passat 1.8T

    Hi Everyone,
I'm new to the forums as I just bought a used 99 Passat. Unfortunately I failed to notice that the interior lights didn't work. I checked the fuse, and it appears to be fine, so then after scouting about there seems to be a common problem with the Comfort Control Module. Apparently its located under the carpet on the "drivers" side, but does anyone know whether the module stays on the left hand side? Also any tips on the best way to access it would be appreciated and does disconnecting the module cause problems?

    Thanks
    Simon

Water damage would be pretty common. I had it on a Passat in the UK. I dried it out an stopped the leak.

That's a call you VW to find that out.

If you can take it out you might be able to clean it out and get it going again.
