R36 Wagon in Icelandic Grey

Hi Guys,

I just ordered an R36 wagon today to replace my V6 Touareg.

After much debate I settled on "Icelandic Grey" with a black interior. Does anyone have a car with this config. I have searched the web for photos but did not find much.

Can't wait for the car and hope I have made the right choice in colour.

When will you get your grey R36?
Mine should have been unloaded from the boat today at Port Kembla! Not sure how long before I get my hands on it.
I haven't seen an R36 wagon in Icelandic Grey yet, so I too am hoping it is a good colour choice.

Should arrive in late Jan / early Feb. It is on the boat and due to arrive in Aus any day. I had to sacrifice a few options (i.e. SatNav - which I am not too concerned about) to get one in grey within a reasonable timeframe. Had a Biscay Blue wagon overnight for an extended test drive and it was awesome - sold me on the car straight away but I wanted a more chilled colour.

I have a Granite deisel wagon also. I really like that colour.

If I could have had the R36 in Granite I would have!

I've been waiting since April or May for my Icelandic Grey R36, and time has flown by. So hopefully the wait until Feb for you won't be too bad!

Actually, our cars might be delivered at the same time.

My car was on the vessel Tarifa, voyage number EX812-TFA that left Port Kembla today.

Yes, it is different than the silver. I'm looking at getting a grey one as well. The silver is much lighter.

You may have seen the colour already. It has been available for quite some time on the Eos. The recent delivery is the first batch that has come into Aus with the Icelandic Grey. I ordered it last May!!!

I ordered a r35 variant in dec in icelanding grey and its supposed to arrive end of jan. Got sat nav and auto tail. I havent seen the colour on a passat as its the first one coming to South Aust. I paid $67 flat for mine which included corp discount. Ive only owned 50s beetles type 3s etc so Ive skipped a few years of vw ownership

56 beetle, popouts, judson supercharger, lowered on whitwalls went to vic
64 type 3 notch still in sa
63 type 3 notch, brms still in sa

Welcome to motoring in the 21st century!
I'm sure that the R36 will not seem anywhere near as ground braking as the Beetles were when they were released, but the R36 will give you lots of big grins!
I think the Icelandic Grey is going to become a popular colour though, we should start to see a few around shortly.
