  • Aux In not Working

Just picked up our new 103kW Passat Wagon.
Have noticed that when connecting up external MP3 via AUX IN port, i get no sound.
Have followed instruction to the letter from the manual and still no luck.
Checked MP3 and 3.5 line in other car and works fine.
Seen on other threads that maybe software issue with the stereo RCD510?
    Anyone else have similar problems?
    Anyone else that can help?
just want to have an idea whats wrong before taking it back to dealer and being without it for a long period while they decide whats wrong (

I know with the RNS510 you have to activate the AUX input.
It's under system settings > media.

also in there is a level control menu - low, medium ,high. on low we could barely hear the mp3 - left it at high.

Have found that when the ipod input is fitted it overrides the AUX IN.
Can't have both of them fitted.
Decided to have the ipod jack removed as prefer MP3 Player over IPOD.
Thanks to those that offered help.
Hope this helps others that my come across similar problem.
