It was the wagon at the Barloworld on Springvale Rd in Mt. Waverly.

I am desperate to up the ante with my car, but have not come accross any solutions in my price range ($2000-$3000).
I've seen a BMC replacement filter for the 3.6litre on the BMC website.

I went to Motoline this morning in FTG to ask about a Remus exhaust and the rep told me that they have nothing on the system for the R36. He sent an email to Remus in Austria this afternoon and said he'll get back to me tomorrow.

He also said that if Remus didn't have anything they'd be able to look at a custom system.
I searched for a good 2 hours last night on the interweb and found only 1 thing in the way of performance upgrades for the R36. I wonder if it's a case of "no demand, no supply". Damn shame.
Powerchip Australia have a tuning chip for the R36. Raises the power to 231kW and the torque to 367Nm but the damn thing costs $1700. No where near good enough for $1700.

I hope Remus have something as a custom exhaust will prove both costly and risky. I've had several Remus systems in the past and they sound great.

I know of a tuner in Australia currently testing the R36. l supect an upgrade to be available soon. Can a carbonio intake be fitted from the R32?

i was under the impression that the dsg will limit torque to 350nm as part of its (software) design thereby negating some of the gains....

the link below discusses reflashing the dsg to allow for increased torque...sure looks interesting...almost a performance mod in its own right...

Below is the response I received from TCCA Motorsport about 10 minutes ago. Not good news but helpful. Now I can stop looking.

              Hi Sean

Sorry not want you want to hear again, I dont know of any company in Europe (and I deal with at least 4 who specialise in exhaust systems) that have anything available for the R36 range. It just doesn't make sense to manufacture an aftermarket exhaust which is better suited than the standard exhaust to this car, as no other modifications are being made and no real gain is obtained by changing the exhaust.

If somewhere down the track a complete turbo kit was developed for these engines, (as in the MTM R32 turbo kit) then maybe then they will do exhaust as well, but there is none in development at this stage.

Best spending money on suspension or wheels or considering from the Audi Quattro range ? A3/S3/ A4wagon/etc.

              Rgds Michelle.

www.hpamotorsports.com .... they are the company that produced the twinturbo R36, and i am of the belief that they fit turbos to all R36's...
