  • Passat B1 coilover??

Hi there, recently just joined this forum and hoping to acquire some valuable knowledge I'm looking for a set of decent coilovers which would fit a 1975 Passat TS, also am looking to upgrade the brakes so they can handle a bigger engine in the future (20v perhaps ) . Budget is about $1000-$1600 for the coilover and brake kit. Any ideas which brand/model of coilover to purchase, and any recommendations on brakes would be much appreciated.

Sorry mate. No such thing as coilovers for the B1's. I have spent many many hours researching. Some people have modified their front struts into coilover setups but it does involve cutting, welding and adapting. You have to be very confident in you own or someone else work to be cutting up your B1's suspension haha. Haven't looked into brake upgrades but I dont see why a brake setup from a golf mk2 G60 or golf mk3 wouldnt be able stop a B1 with a 20v same 4x100 stud pattern as early vw's and you keep it OEM
