Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. • Where is the Bluetooth module in 2010 cc?

    Hi guys,

I'm planning to upgrade my Bluetooth module from 9w2 to 9w7...
I have seen lots of posts and videos saying it should be under the driver seat in foam cage.
I just can't find it there... Does anyone know where is it installed in 2010 cc?

    Thanks,
    Vexed

Premium Bluetooth was under the driver's seat.

Not everyone ticked that box, though.

The 'standard' Bluetooth module will be jammed in under the radio unit behind the heater/aircon controls.

That's not what I wanted to hear
Will I still be able to access it and replace it with the new module? Is it accessable from behind the RNS510?

Yeah, you have to pull the radio and heater/aircon controls out to get it out.

I can't recall if the Premium one will fit in there, or if it has to go under the seat. Either way, it's not a massive job. Just fiddly.

I always thought(assumed) that I have the 9w2 module, I thought this will be a plug and play thing... Thanks for your reply, I will see how it goes.
          Cheers.

            Found it

Thanks mate, as you said, it is behind the Air Con controls, it a Volk-L bluetooth model. from what I read, the upgrade is plug and play, fingers crossed.

            Cheers,
