Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • New CC road test by Top Gear

I was just surfing and came across this story by the team at Top Gear UK, and as I have seen a couple of threads about the new CC coming to Australia I thought this might be interesting to a few here.

Nice! Methinks I could see myself move up in life from a stock standard B7 125TDI sedan to this beauty ... but take a look at the price in British pounds quoted on TopGear's website! So, £24,200 is the equivalent of $A37,339. Yet, we get charged well over $A50,000 for the base model diesel CC. To be fair, they do have to ship them a long way and our government charges a luxury car tax, but no wonder VW love selling to us Aussies!

I wonder if they will drop the V6 option here as well, I would imagine that it would be a top seller over the turbo 4's and diesels.

Currently the TDI outsells the V6 by about 10:1 cutesy of the LCT!
