Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • 2013 VW CC Facelift Redesign

Howdy all! Came across this article this evening... would LOVE those headlight units for my Passat CC!

New 2013 Volkswagen CC Facelift gets a minor redesign for the new model year, it will be released at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show later this month. The re-design is substantial and features restyled front, the new model by the redesigned front that gets a new chrome-trimmed grille, reshaped headlamps that incorporate a ring of LEDs and a reworked bumper.
While no technical details are available as of yet, the German automaker says that the 2013 Volkswagen CC gets a bunch of technical and visual upgrades. Interior, the company says it has improved the standard features across the range with the addition of a fatigue detection system, new audio, stainless steel door sills and safety head restraints with additional longitudinal adjustment for the front seats. Design wise, the new 2013 VW CC gets an upgraded front and rear styling and an extended range of standard equipment that includes Bi-Xenon headlights with the Adaptive Front Lighting System and LED taillights.
In Europe, the 2013 Volkswagen CC will be offered with two TDI diesels with Stop/Start and regenerative braking technology (for battery charging) as standard – those are the 2.0 liter TDI with either 103 kW / 140 PS / 138 hp or 125 kW / 170 PS / 168 hp. On the petrol side will be engine units with outputs of 160 PS (118 kW / 158 hp), 210 PS (155 kW / 208 hp) and 300 PS (220 kW / 296 hp). For North America, the Volkswagen CC will come with petrol units offering 200 PS (147 kW / 197 hp) and 280 PS (206 kW / 277 hp). A 140 PS (103 kW / 138 hp) TDI will also be made available.

The 2013 Volkswagen CC will be officially unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 18. Next will first launch in Germany in February 2012, then gradually across Europe, America, Russia, China and other sales regions
