I stumbled across this interesting web site from Russia today. These are apparently real times by real cars (some modified, some not).
The usual suspects are up the top - modified Evo, Veyron (number 4 spot), GTR, 911 Turbo etc) Numerous WRX's feature and seem to rank everywhere (in recognition of different cars with different mods and difference launch methods I would assume).
But of interesting note was the quarter time for the VW Passat CC 3.6 at number 293. Quarter mile was a very impressive 13.83 which is close to what I expected. It ranked 293 out of 602 cars tested.
But - wait for it - it was only narrowly pipped by an Audi RS4 which at number 292 only managed to achieve a 13.827 and actually beat a heavy hitting Merc CL63 and Bentley Continental GT in spots 293 and 294.
If you can believe the web site, the CC also outperformed numerous other cars that you would have thought would have been quicker. Of course you can spend all day looking at the numbers by various cars and wonder why....
