Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Ordered my new CC yesterday

Ordered it yesterday. Final config as follows:-

    TDI
    Deep Black
    Black Nappa
    Sat Nav
    Rear View Camera
    Park Assist
    Dynaudio
    19'' Lugano rims

    $64,000 driveaway.

Best thing is I don't have to wait 6 months. Crick Motors at Maroochydore ordered a dealer spec car last year due to be built mid Feb. Was able to have the spec changed to get what I wanted so should be here late April.

Shows what can happen when you spend some time in a car. Drove one of these for 12 days in August whilst on holiday in the UK. Had booked a BMW 1 Series but got upgraded to the CC. Blew me away ... and loved the diesel.

In the interim I'm happy to drive my 3 Series which we'll be buying off my employer for my wife. So 3 year 3 series (incl. all the fruit) with about 55k on the clock for about $27,500 ... got to be happy with that.

            Nice one. Good price too.

I was considering a diesel, but ended up with an MY09 V6 that has done just 8,000klms.

Dealers in NSW seem far less inclined to be doing good deals like I've seen in Vic and Qld.

Congrats Static, welcome to the CC Club! The options that you ticked are similar to mine (though having the V6 CC I did not need to get the Laguna wheels). Park Assist will impress your friends the most but its the dynaudio that you will really appreciate over time.

Yeah thanks Leagle ... $2,000 for the sound upgrade makes no sense for someone who listens to the ABC most of the time but it impressed my twin 19 year old daughters. So I'll blast them with my Doobie Bros tracks when they get in the car.

As for the Park Assist ... I'll admit to being a knob ... Sounded pretty cool. I'm sure I'll get some bragging value out of it !!

I've got to get the appropriate numbers from the dealer to track the build. Understand it some be built in about a week or so. Then the slow boat from China ... Well Germany.
