  • Passat CC 2.0Tdi 125kW loan car

Dropped my Tiguan off for it's service this morning and the dealer gave me a Passat CC as a loan car. MUCH better than the little Polo I got last time.

Damn it is a nice sext car! It has the magnetic suspension thing to set it between normal, comfot, and sport. I can feel a difference, but it's not that noticeable in the bit of driving I've done so far. I think the low profile tyres limit how effective the comfort mode can be.

It must be quite a bit heavier than my Tig as I would say my 103kW TDI is a little nippier than the 125kW TDI in this beast. But in a head to head things may be different - maybe the Passat is deceptive?

I am a huge fan of DSG and was a little disappointed when it wasn't available for the Tiguan when I bought mine. But I have grown to love the tiptronic and have to say I think I prefer the Tiptronic over the DSG in this Passat Never thought I'd say that. Make no error, the DSG is nice, I'm not knocking it. It's just a surprise to me that my Tiptronic feels so good in comparison.

Oh, anotehr huge difference I noticed is the ease of getting in and out of the car. I am a fairly rotund fella, and have to say the low slung CC would kill me as a daily driver - the higher more upright Compact SUV is a better fit for my less-than-agile physique

All in all though, I am very impressed with this girl. You guys that own them have got to be happy people!

I felt the same when we were roadtesting Passat sedan with the same 125kW. I thought then that our Golf 103kW was zippier in city traffic.

Maybe the Passat is faster, more responsive at the hwy speeds.

Yep.....had mine since January. I see very few of them, and I do 500 km a week.
Saw one this morning, as I passed him on the Craigieburn by-pass road. They sure are
a sexy looking beast, from most angles. And of course a Golf would be zippier in traffic, a TDI CC is not a light-weight, and they are after all a low slung highway cruiser.

We have a 103 TDI Golf and a CC TDI. Seat of the pants the Golf feels stronger. Still my daughter is always offering to swap her golf for the CC.
You know you are getting old when you cancel your order for a 3.6 CC and buy an Icelandic Gray TDI CC instead.

Passat CC doesn't have magnetic suspension, AUDI use magnetic suspension whereas VW use Adaptive Chassis Control (DCC) which is essentially a cheaper system that works in a similar way.
