Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • ATE pads and rotors - part number confirmation

    Hey all,

Just looking for anyone who has put ATE Ceramic pads and ATE rotors on a 3.6 4Motion passat.

Im getting some varied answers from dealers.

    2012 CC V6 4MOTION
    Axle codes - 1LA, 2EA

    Front Pads: 13.0470-2764.2
    Rear pads: 13.0470-2621.2

    Front Rotors: 24.0130-0225.1
    Rear Rotors: 24.0122-0219.1

Ive had one dealer tell me that the rear pads are 13.0470-2887.2. According to the ATE website these are for vehicles without elect park brake.

    Any help appreciated.

    You will need to confirm your PR codes. But here is a start;

Front: 345mm (possibly the later model with the higher output V6) or 340mm

Rear: 310mm (vented) or 282mm (solid)

Assuming you will be doing Pads and Rotors, get yourself some ATE Ceramic Pads and matching ATE Rotors. You will not regret it...

I have searched - thats the only thread I can find. It contains one of four part numbers that im trying to confirm.

PR Codes were in the initial post (1LA, 2EA) which means its the 340mm/310mm setup.

The part numbers are the ATE Ceramic jobs.

Im just chasing confirmation from someone who has done it especially re the rear pads - as the ATE website clearly states the 2887's are for non elec handbrake vehicles.
