Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Red calipers - has anyone had this done?

    Hi guys

I'm just curious if anyone here has had their calipers painted red and are able to post a few pictures to assist me.

I have a black Arteon with the sound and style pack and I'm trying to find how the red calipers will look through the 20" Rosario wheels.

    Thanks guys

    Shane

Probably not great IMO. They’re not a particularly attractive caliper.

          ^^^this^^^

You'd be better off with a plastic caliper cover without a logo (or a VW logo).

          Quicker, easier, reversible, cheap

The calipers on our cars have to be the worst calipers i've ever seen. Mine just look like a hunk of metal behind the alloys. Why didnt they put an R logo on them like the Golf R beats the hell out of me!! One of my gripes with the car!!!

Can you buy the plate and customise it?
