If you want to stop the brake dust - a better and more long term solution is just to change the brake pads. It's really easy and now that you have a VCDS, you can do the rears aswell. My car: MY18 Arteon

For example - Europe has banned the use of certain materials in brake pads, and this led to the development of a dustier brake pad. Or - Germany has autobahn's, and the brakes must be designed to stop a car from very high speed even when the brakes are cold - so European cars use a softer/dustier brake pad.
Hawk Performance is a company that makes low dust pads for street use.

In a previous car I also used a pad called "RB74" from an Australian company called "Race Brakes" - they were designed for street use aswell. They were also incredibly low dust compared to the factory VW pads. That said, I don't think Race Brakes makes their own pads anymore and instead now, just resells other manufacturers. My car: MY18 Arteon
