  • 2016 Element limp mode

Posting on behalf of my brother.

He recently purchased a 2016 TDI Element from the dealer.
It has gone into limp mode several times and is now at the dealer.

Any ideas on where they should be looking? Is this a common problem?
    Thanks in advance.
    Dave.

There's no chance of guessing what's wrong. As it's warranty I assume, then I'd wait for the dealers to part with the information.

Dealer found nothing wrong, had the vehicle for 5 days and drove it around with the test equipment connected. Unable to fault.
Would the vehicle computer record the parameters that caused the limp mode event?

Yes - the fault codes would definitely be in the scan.....
