Coming/leaving home lights not working

think drad81 meant get out of the car and press unlock. If no doors are opened it will auto lock after a period of time.

Thought as he wants the lights to be on when he opens the door he would need to do it while he is still in it wouldn't he.

Don't know seems logical but perhaps not explained fully

that's what I meant... get out of the car first.

If I park the car outside in the backyard I normally lock the car then walk to the laundry door then realise I can't see the key so unlock the car which throws light on to the keys and door lock.

Thinking sideways, if that's the only place you are worried about why not install a sensor light on the laundry wall. Makes sense to me. LOL

I don't have a problem with the auto lights on the car just trying to provide a solution to not flicking on the high beams. Car is always garaged at night but on the odd occasion if it's outside that's what I do.
