Probably 10%. Just check it first that you're eligible.

      It can be substantial.

When I bought my Caddy Maxi Life, it was 10% off the base price because I am a member of Engineers Australia, plus a further significant reduction in the dealer/delivery fee. The thing is to check with any association you are a member of to see if you get any membership benefit discount.

Just ordered a Caddy Maxi Life and got about 9% off the cost of the car (not including on road costs) and about $500 off dealer delivery.

I bought a company car a while back, qualified for a hefty fleet discount.

i wanted it registered in my name, and the dealer said I can only get the fleet price if it was registered in a company name.

I asked what discount I could get without fleet, and it woerked out overall only about $300 difference.

Its up to you how hard/smart you negotiate privately - fleet discount just means it doesnt have to negotiate

Yes i agree with you, however one of my friend ordered one 2012 TDI V6 Touareg, without corp/fleet disc., he paid 72888 drive away, amazing right? So i wonder what if i have corp disc, how much i can lower the cost from that price.

I agree about your neg skills. I was able to get a price close to the corporate fleet before I mentioned it. Saved an extra $1000, but half that saving was on dealer delivery.

for each car, i definitely go for the RRP, but i was so surprised that my friend received the price much below the RRP, 77000 down to 72888 drive away.

its about 8-10% depending on car plus about $500 off dealer delivery... i think there is slightly more room to negotiate after it though

Well worth checking out, as wai mentions many professional organisations have fleet rates that members can access (provided they didn't join yesterday). Saved me $4K *sweet!*
