MY13 Touareg - Big changes!

Hey guys,
We received a bulletin a few days ago from VW announcing massive changes to the Touareg range.

Sorry I don't have full specifics with me to read off but this should give you an idea-

V6 Petrol - See ya later, nice knowing you.
150TDI - 18" Karakoum alloys, Xenons, I think Nappa leather as well.
180TDI - 20" Pikes Peak alloys, Xenons,
4XMotion - mainly cosmetic changes.

There's heaps more but I'm afraid I've had a mental blank as I type!!
If anyone is interested i can get the full details.
Suffice to say, the changes are pretty impressive on what is an already awesome SUV!

No one has said if these changes come for FREE or not. 20" alloys, air suspension and xenon lights is alot of extra kit for no extra coin. I dont see how it could be done given the current margins. Will be interesting to see.

I've got a My13 150tdi Touareg on order. (November delivery)

Can you give me any more information about the changes?

I'm very excited about the alloys, xenon and leather.

Hi Robert,
If you have been given a VIN for your 150TDI then you have missed out on any MY13 updates. These will take affect from build week 27 (start of July).

Hi Robert,
If it's November delivery you should be fine for an MY13. That would make it late July, early August build in theory.
As per my original post you'll get the Xenons, 18" Wheels and Vienna Leather (not Nappa as I originally posted).

In terms of price, presumably there will be a bit of a price rise. I can't imagine that the 180TDI will escape without a pretty decent price hike. There are about $12000 worth of extras that are being whacked into it. We're praying that VW keep it to a minimum but time will tell!

Yeap, 4 cylinder Touareg confirmed, but they will think about the V8TDI for AU.

that's great, that's why lots dealer doing the special now, i will definitely get the 2013 model before end of this year.
