V6 cutting out

Hi,

I have a 2003 V6 3.2 Touareg that is sweet about 95% of the time then S$%Ts itself and while driving cuts out at any speed and we have to get the car to the side of the road asap, as the power steering and everything just shuts down. I have had this checked out and there are no issues within the cars system. Does anyone else have this problem with there car, or might know what this is? once the car has come to a stop it can pretty much be started again and most of the time has cleared the problem.
