Horn replacement

Hi! My high note horn has failed on my TDI.
Having read the US threads and tried to locate and replace the horn via the wheel arch...no luck..
Anyone done the job successsfully? Rgds S

Our horn was replaced under the warranty; I know it was well over $100 for the horn only. Dealer did it within 2 hours, so it can't be that bad to pull it out. How long is yours out of warranty? You could still try to get it done since it appears to be quite common fault.

Thanks will try but 48k and well out of warranty...Porsche charged $85 for the Horn and VW price $128!

Horn is located on the front support panel and will be easiest accessed underneath. Not entirely sure which side the high tone horn is on but it maybe a bit squishy on the D/s as the intercooler is there
