R5 spare wheel details

Hi All.
Just wondering if you can pass on any words of wisdom.
What is supposed to be included in the spare wheel for the R5?
I have a deflated space saver but an empty space on the left side of it. Is it supposed to house a compressor or something like that?

(hope it's not a stupid question)

Our V6 TDI has also deflated space saving tyre and in that empty space you have, we have the 12V air compressor. I believe the R5 Touareg should have one too.

However - if your Touareg happens to have air suspension you will not have the 12v compressor. Instead you will have a hose which connects to the onboard compressor via an outlet under the driver's seat. Geoff
