Just drove a 2010 prefacelift tdi today, with the 7 speed DSG (DSG DQ500-7A). This is still a wet clutch like the 6 speed DSG?132TSI Tiguan AllspaceComment

Yes the 7 speed in the Tiguan is a high torque wet clutch unit. The DQ500 is a pretty reliable unit - even better than the 6 speed. There's very few issues with this particular transmission.Originally posted by iampivot View Post

Yes the DSG came in the MY11 update prior to the facelift in MY12. So there's 12 months where the 7 speed DSG was available in the pre-facelift Tig.
