Announcement

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

ABT make some fantastic dubstuff. Yet another example of their fine taste in doing up an OEM VAG product.

The textured plastic arches are a bit to much for me, and bit to early 90's. Nice kit regardless I remember seeing this in Golf+ a few months back.

I would tone down the arches a fraction and fit adjustable struts, so you could still take into the muddy stuff.

I like the look better with the roof rails for some reason.

Look like a baby touareg still!

I pray that isn't the case The car isn't particularly attractive, the ABT T-regx looks alot better in my opinion.

nice looking car that is. i would be definitely proud to drive one. but in that fit-out you would definitely be above the LCT threshold

god dammit that would sound good with an upgraded flash and that exhaust system...

I think something got lost in the translation between the Tiguan Concept and the real thing. Probably due to the marketing dept.

needs to be bigger than a 2.0L to be an R-Line Tiguan. there is already a 2.0L tiguan, same donk out of the current Golf GTI (2.0T). a naturally aspirated R20 would be something relative to a Polo, and even that would not be enough, seeing as the 1.8T would smash it to bits. The tiguan needs to be a naturally aspirated 6cyl R34, so it can slot in between the R32 and R36. or maybe just use the R32 engine seeing as the 6cyl is being made redundant.

now just to carry on even more, apparently there is an R-Line planned for the Tiguan and it will have a diesel donk. maybe the 3.0L 6cyl TDi from the Touareg?? and twin turbo'd.......hey, the Touareg R50 got a 5.0L (well, 4.921L....close enough) twin turbo diesel V10, so why not strap another snail to the Tiguan.

                            Cheers,
                            Rhys
