    2009 Tiguan 2.0TDI Intake Leak/P2279 code

    Hi guys,

    All of a sudden about a week ago, I started hearing a hissing under boost that was coming from the passenger footwell. Then all of sudden one day it became real loud and now its thrown a check engine light and a DPF light.

    Quick scan shows a P2279. Now I'm not by any means a gun mechanic but can diagnose and fix quite alot of stuff. I understand the intercooler is in that wheel well and am I right in guess it could be a blown hose or something around that?

    Any typical issues with Tiguan/TDI intercoolers?

    Our Jetta blew a turbo hose. It split open. I guess if it can happen on a Jetta it can happen on a Tig. It might just be a loose clamp.
