Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Performance Cockpit/Display

Currently have an APR tuned tiguan but would love something much like the ABT Performance Cockpit. Basically this is a double din touch screen headunit which displays performance information such as boost etc as well as carrying out regualr headunit functions. Is there anything like this available for the VW Australian market?

Am also very much interested if there is any way you can visualize via a monitor etc: Where, when and how much power is being transmitted to what axles/wheels? Just something I'd love to see on a screen and would find really interesting!

Any information on any of this would be greatly appreciated!

Presumably this will happen whilst your passenger maintains a careful scan outside for hazards such as other road users, pedestrians and bicycles on your behalf?!
Others' safety and external conditions are what should interest you.
      'Sure you'll understand.

Well it's not really anything different from what a Range Rover displays tbh, as for boost display. Be that digital or an analog gauge the level of distraction would be the same. Prius' do this kind of display for their energy recoup. All of which is active while being driven.
