Hi Elby. Lowering springs work pretty well on your Tiguan, both for aesthetics & for flatter cornering/acceleration/braking. Effect is even more accentuated with a nice set of 18 or 19 inch rims. Does your 147 have the factory 18" New Yorks?
Not really a fan of the other 3 mod's you have listed though... Each to his/hers own i suppose! I tried smoking my tails a couple of years ago with film & it looked like i had mauve tail lights so i peeled it off the next morning...
Does anyone know roughly how much it would cost to get new springs installed?
Nice job, Elby! Any chance of a bit of a close-up/non sideways photo? Might look into that nightshades product, is it removable?
ps, my springs install was also around 400 a few years ago. Don't forget to factor in an alignment.
Thanks for the info, nite shades is removable, just use thinners and elbow grease (had a mishap on my old car ) If you can put some headlight protection film on first then spray that however dark you want it and then you can peel it off!
I just removed the lights which took around 5 minutes then sprayed
Get the Eibachs if you're going to keep stock shocks. There's a few people that put in H&R but pulled them out because the additional lowering made the ride too firm.
Just ordered the springs, can't wait to see how they look!
