Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Tiguan side steps installation

    Hi everyone
I recently bought some aftermarket running boards for a 2014 VW tiguan from China off ebay. My usual mechanic looked at it and said it didn't fit, but when i contacted the sellers they assured me that the European tiguan is slightly different length to the Chinese one, but it would DEFINITELY fit. Problem is all the instructions are in Chinese.
Can anyone suggest somewhere I could get it installed in Sydney?
    Thanks in advance.

Have you thought about putting the instructions into a translator or taking it to a language school and getting it changed to English.

I did that once when I found some Japanese log book pages in a supposed low K's Jap import I bought.

Did confirm my suspicions about amount on the ODO
    2021 Kamiq LE 110 , Moon White, BV cameras F & B
    Mamba Ebike to replace Tiguan

Here is a link to a installation video for Tiguan sidesteps (runnnig boards). Hope this helps, looks like fairly easy job subject parts being suitable.

Yes i bought those ones but i had to return them as they didn't fit the 2015 model mine used the rear suspension brackets they fitted over the round bulge and used the two existing nuts
