2009 Tiguan

Hi All.
This must be one of the stupid question but how do I know if my 2009 Tiguan is mk5 or Mk6. Reason why is, I want to add or convert my headlight so automatic headlights. After market parts from eBay

Have a look at your multi-function display (between the speedo and tacho). If it's red then it's Mk5 based. If it's white then this is Mk6.

Also the steering wheel buttons are different between the mk5 and mk6:
