So i bought the 155 R-Line this year.
I drove it directly from the dealer on pick up to Harding Performance for the ECU Tune.
Power Gains immediately noticeable, although it didnt feel as if the DSG was matched quite right for the upgraded power.
2 weeks later
I drove it back to Harding for the APR Carbonio intake and DSG tune...
Its now brilliant... Drive-ability with the DSG matched to the tune is exceptional.
After driving it interstate and around town a bit (15000km approx), would i want the K04 upgrade.. yeah probably.. do i think i'll get a huge improvement for the $$.. probably not... and will i actually spend the $$ on the turbo/exhaust/inter cooler which would be needed.. probably not.
For me, the R-Line looks great..
The car drives as quick as i need it to around town, and its still a reasonably efficient vehicle on the highway (even whilst towing)
In regards to handling, my next purchases will be:
- Front and rear sway bars,
- HP Lower control arms
Which from my experience in other vehicles, usually do enough to tighten up the ride for what i like.
As with the other comments so far, it really depends on what sort of feel you like personally.
