2009 Tiguan Bluetooth Phone

Probably a simple answer to my query.. I can use my hands free cell phone (iphone 4) to make & receive calls via the car Bluetooth phone & speaker system. Although my phone is paired to the VW "KUFATEC FISCON" I can hear the caller through the car speaker but the caller is unable to hear my response. if I switch the phone off KF onto speaker or phone then the caller will hear but of course not now hands-free. Before I replace what could be a faulty microphone located behind the steering wheel could I perhaps be missing something on a setting here ? Help from anyone would be appreciated.

Did you install it your self? Does the car have or had an RNS510 Navi unit?

May be better to buy an OEM 9W2 kit part number 1K8035730D I think for about AUD150 Make sure it has a plug and play wiring loom and configured for an RCD3/510 radio not the navi unit otherwise that mic will not work. May save you a lot of pain in the long run.

Look in the electronics section of the forum there is a lot of info on BT units there that may solve your problem

Do you have access to a VCDS cable. An autoscan of the car / telephone module may work and pin point the actual problem
