Hi fellows,

What type of window tinting would everyone consider or advice??

+1 from me. I would like to know if anyone has put window tint over the top of the privacy glass.

You have 2 options. Tint everything and live with the back windows being darker.

Put a UV clear on the rears and match the tint on the fronts. Be aware that the privacy glass doesn't have any UV protection.

Finally my car is here and ready to be pick up this weekend , but again it will go straight to the garage to have the partial ABT kit to be fitted and to be tinted. Hopefully i get a chance to fit in all the minor part during this weekend. Will upload more of the parts photo soon.

Hoping to get the tinting done as soon as i pick up the car on sat morning........ Any suggestion if i want the UV and darkest tint also with privacy at the back? Also of course what $$$ would i be looking at?

I just had the fronts done at Solartint with the 70% uv cash in hand was only $120 with a ten year warranty it matches the rear privacy glass perfectly .

Has anyone try to install front door puddle/Warning lights?

Are those replacement mirror panels? Whereabouts did you get them?

Door warning lights yes done to Tig1. It's a very easy mod - get all the bits from bold-sport: Bold-Sport.com :: Door Warning Lights Housing

Just requires a simple bit change in the coding and you're done!

I haven't done the mirror puddle lights but these will be very similar to the Mk6 Golf: Bold-Sport.com :: Mirror LED Puddle Light Housing - Golf VI

There's a DIY for it if you search on Google but does require cutting out the bottom of your mirror housings so is not reversible....

Hi Tigger73,

DIY found, wil try to do the warning lights for the doors this weekend for now. Seem like the puddle light will require alot more work in cutting and installation time. Got a big weekend ahead of me, gona get the Tig tint and if possible APR tuning as well. : ) Will update you guys later.
