No highway driving. Just peak hour traffic unfortunately. Sympathetic driving and traffic anticipation helps a lot. My brakes are still original which is a greater feat than the tyres life, which is largely dependent on tyre compound

U dont see too many drivers like you these days.

Most people just slam on the brakes before lights and corners. Hence good for the tyres industry [emoji6]

My parents own spare parts retail shop overseas and they sell clutches and brake pads like hot cakes. The drivers there have no simpathy and no anticipation.

I also anticipate and let the car slows down on its own (esp uphill), but only if there is no one behind me. Some drivers DO need to see brake light before they decide to slow down behind me as they have no capability to judge safe following distance [emoji34]

The road surface has also the influence on the tyres life, but some tyres just last longer.

Buying 4 new Bridgestones tomorrow - 215/65R16 Ecopia EP850.
Bridgestone have 3 for the price of 4 until Nov30.
Getting them at Bob Janes for 3x$179=$537 - works out at around $134 each.
My son has them on his Xtrail and said they are way better than his previous tyres.
Our previous tyres were Bridgestone 683's which were nice and got 42,000k with a little bit of tread left. Pirelli P6 before that were lucky to make 30,000k.
Also, I run the D697's on my Landcruiser - they are a very good A/T tyre - a bit more noise than the original dunlops but nothing wrong with them.

ok tyres have served well since fitment and no problems so now for my next step a lift i have found some springs made by h and r now just have find a dealers . these are what im after

Got a new set of B'stone RE050A Potenza's today for a great price from Bob Jane Newcastle. Was extremely happy with the last set that i got 68 000k's out of, so stuck with the formula!

$300 per corner fitted & balanced + $60 for an alignment. 245/40/R19. The guy said RRP was $450!

That's decent mileage out of a performance tyre. I'm halfway through my 3rd set and I've done 90,000km! Though one set was Bridgestone S001 which only lasted 30,000km but were an awesome tyre. Just couldn't justify buying another set.
