2.5T 5cyl vs 2.0T 4cyl.
85k on road vs 45k on road with stage 2.

Interesting that even with the bigger engine they still couldn't extend 2nd gear out to make it to 100.

I heard the WRX has a long 2nd gear as it saves a vital 0.3 seconds on the run to 100km/h.

I think that is a characteristic of the DSG box, RSQ3 DSG is same DQ500 as our Tiguans have. Audi TTRS shifts in the same manner with same DSG.

Another interesting thing is K04 Tig takes 2.3 sec to hit 60 km/h but RSQ3 only takes 2.1 sec. But after that K04 Tig accelerate faster to catch that 0.2 sec to when both reach 100 km/h. Reminds me that saying "there is no replacement for displacement " !

Yeah! I need a scirocco R with tiguan underpinnings! I love to have something like this but will be ultra expensive mod i think ! Could be a ultimate DIY mod too

Not true !! Tiguan R line 0 to 100 takes 7.2 sec , GTI MK6 6.7 sec, GTI Mk7 6.4 sec

Yeah but I'm pretty sure that Tig is tuned (same one as the other vids).

The Tig has an advantage off the line while the guy in the GTI is trying to control his wheelspin.

Yes probably Tig is tuned, may be stock Tig is faster till 60 km/h with launch after GTI will kill it. Have you ever had that helpless feeling where you took off from the lights and car behind you catching up to you real quick but you got no more power to accelerate !! That is where a K04 in Tig shines, it keeps the Tig in front most of the time.
