I know there are HEAPS of threads of people who bought their Tiguan's without HID's and seeking to retrofit/find aftermarket solutions. The questions I pose however are completely different and I don't seem to be able to find any information anywhere.
Basically I got my Tiguan without the HID's I have the stock halogen headlights without the LED's. I have no interest in installing HID's however I am chasing the LED DRL. Recently I have found this:
If you read the listing it says that you can use a halogen or HID bulb in the low beam projector. So I pose the question, is it possible to use a halogen bulb in a HID projector lens? If I can, i will be able to have my factory looking LED DRL's without dealing with the mess of an aftermarket HID installation.
Another question is, inside the cabin there is a dial that you can use to dip the headlight beam. It's next to the dimmer dial for the dashboard lighting. How does this mechanism operate and would aftermarket lights accommodate for this feature?
