  • What would you pay?

Keen to see what people would be willing to pay on the used car market as i am looking to upgrade to an Audi SQ5

Nov 2011 built so current model. Purchased new March 2012 so 15 odd months of new car warranty remaining.
    132TSI DSG
    pepper grey in colour
Comfort pack is the only option. I basically needed a larger car and this suited me at the time as it was already at the stealership
48,500ish klms. I live in Picton so mainly highway klms. A few stone chips from freeway driving but nothing really worth noting. I always polish it so the bugs are easily removed

Great overall condition. Small dent in the front drivers guard that i believe would be a paintless dent removal job. Always well maintained.

It doesn't matter what I'd pay it's what someone who is going to buy it is willing to pay.

...went into the dealer a month back and they were offering me $18k for my car with just a shade under 60k on the clock.

Have a look on carsales and redbook to get some ballpark numbers.

Gut feel it will be low to mid $20's.

Totally and absolutely agree with you there. I was hoping there may be someone on here who was in he market for one hence the reason i asked

i know what they offered me trade in wise but was contemplating selling it privately as its surely worth more than they offered. I wont mention what they offered just yet. Its just a big call as i dont want to get stuck with 2 debts when i could have gotten rid of one by trading it in.

Post it up in the for sale section - can't hurt.

Traded my 08 Tig in a year ago for 16k Saw it advertised in the used car lot for 24k the following week and was gone a week later to an out of town buyer. So I would say try flog it on car sales for 5k more than they offered you as a trade in

If i buy an SQ5 it may be an option. One dealer i spoke to said they have a bit of a deal with purchasers where they can supply a car for you to drive until your car is delivered. I dont know how long prior they would offer it but it certainly makes it easier

I was driving for more than 4months before they delivered my T5 back in 2005. I had a deal that, if I'd sell my Vito earlier than the new van arrives, they would give me a Van to drive in. I got to drive a last brand new T4 TDI Auto, all I need to do was to buy the fuel, no worries about the insurance or rego.
