  • Tiguan ODBC Code reading / clearing

Hi can anybody recommend a cheap diagnostic trouble code reader / clearer for a 2009 Tiguan?

Or is something like this suitable?

I have a 2009 Tiguan that developed a misfire at 80K kms. I changed the plugs and coils and it fixed the misfire. However the engine light is still on.

Is there something available locally? Can anybody recommend a unit?

    I am in Sydney.

    Thanks
    Nick

There's a VCDS section on this forum including a listing of who has a cable: http://www.vwwatercooled.com/forums/...ead-71016.html

Should be a 2 minute job. Otherwise you could take it to whoever services your car and they should be able to clear it too.

Good to hear that you got your Tig running properly again.

Torque Pro app downloaded for smartphone & OBD2 bluetooth dongle via ebay should be able to clear your fault codes for under $25!
