They should already know about it by now with that flagging system, otherwise I've always previously turned it off and used security lockout and it's never been mentioned or prevented previous warranty work. Extended warranty runs out this September, then possibly early 2015 I'll be looking for something else, assuming the world hasn't ended :p (btw can you believe it's almost a hundred years since WW1?)

If we weren't already off topic we definitely are now

I have just had a similar problem, same lights, 52,000klm, it was seeming to hesitate, mainly in cruise control, could not see anything obvious with the revs or fuel consumption, then the same lights come on, took it in and they changed the plugs = corroded , of course not under warranty !!!! 'but you wont need to have them changed at 60k.........They also checked compression etc, so obviously that is becoming a common problem as well.
A few weeks later same thing, seemed to be worse when the car was hot, like at the end of my 3/4 hour trip in from work..... back it goes. Turned out it was a broken wire on some probe inside the insulation......... so far all good, heres hoping. I was also quizzed about what fuel I had been using etc.
      Mine is a 118TSI

Keep in mind also that your car is always going to perform noticeably worse when it's hot because of the [lack of] air density which is used for boost (supercharger + turbocharger), especially when you're not moving quickly (no airflow to cool down the intake)

If you don't mind me asking did you have your tune flashed back to std when you took it in to VW?

Yes, my tuner had to flash back on the bench.
Going on Tuesday to have it put back on.
Can't wait. Whilst I'm sure it's OK, it feels gutless in comparison to before
