I may have to consider getting a second Tig too as my wife is always trying to steal my car

Suggest you seriously consider putting the $ towards a DSG tune instead of stage 2. You won't get a massive increase (10kW or so) going to stage 2 but the DSG tune makes the 125TSI drive so much better in "D".

DSG flash is on the cards however stage 2 is simply a stepping stone for the grand plan

Hi all, took a tiguan for a drive, petrol and diesel. I love the petrol, power. The diesel has an unbelievable torque and for a diesel it has an unbelievable power. Both car are auto, the only thing I notice is the gear can't make it's mind up, it keeps changing, but that's automatic gear box for you anyway. I have to compromise with the other half, she wants the diesel but as long we get all the option. So we are going back and buy the diesel with leathers and other options.

Yeah just saying that if you have a petrol engine with DSG in your Tig then a DSG tune is well worthwhile.

Can't really comment on the diesel DSG but it likely suffers the same fate as the petrol in terms of not re-engaging first gear. I know it's an issue with the DSG on other diesel VWs.

Though diesel will definitely have more torque at low revs so it won't be quite as bad as getting stuck in second gear at low speed in the petrol Tig.

It would certainly by high on my list after getting a stage 1 tune. In fact as shocking as it may sound, I'd even consider doing the DSG tune first.
