Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • 2013 Tiguan 132TSI Pacific confirmed

Hey guys I have ordered my new Tig, White no options as 1 I'm impatient and 2 the vehicle seems to be good value with what it has as standard. I would like to ft the APR tune in future but other than that nothing else its going to be the family car. I don't like Volkswagens sales techniques "your car if you order today will be ready within 2 weeks" (OSY PARK VW)so in reality I have checked using the Vin where its at and its still on the boat! not due to land until 28/7/13 so I'm thinking first week of August with good luck or second week if they screw me around some more. the only extras we selected to have put on was tint and mats I'm not a fan of $2 paint protection that they sell for 2K. my uncle used to sell cars and advised me its a waste of time.

BTW Guys i am really enjoying reading thru all the threads on here great source of information! i have a load of things i wish i could do to it but i know its not going to happen.

    any how thanks guys!

I got my 132 Pacific from the same dealer and found them really helpful.
They found the car I wanted on the boat on its way and gave me a good deal and the expected arrival date. Came in 2 weeks early
I did the same thing with the tinting and skipping the rest of the paint fabric etc protection.

So I can collect Thursday, but I changed to a TDI for fuel economy, we drive the freeway 50km daily so probably better off in the long run.

Paint protection is really a nice wax job, just make sure you wax it within 3 months of getting it.

                  Hey Shoey,

You should come along to Cars and Coffee 8:30am on every Saturday, they're a lovely bunch of people on the Perth scene. The venue is @ "Elixr The Coffee Specialists", Stirling Hwy, Nedlands.

PM me if you are keen, or just come down. I'm the only Tig there

Hey mate, I'm sure I will make it there at some stage but I live an Baldivis and work in perth so no too keen to go road tripping on my day off, on holidays ATM will be in broome tomorrow! Car has been great, avg fuel is about 5.8L per 100km so very economical. Maybe Saturday week when I'm back if I'm not too busy cleaning the car
