Also got some carbon fiber vinyl trim pieces for AC vents. I will just see how they will fit. If look good will get whole kit to cover other interior trim parts as well.

Interested how these turn out.. seems very steep for paint and instal. What colour you thinking? Could wrap them, maybe??

Yeah .. it is expensive. But anything involving painting is expensive anyways. I will go black as OEM.

Thanks! I had a look, and have few questions. Did your came with sonar parking sensor holes? If can you pls give the part number. Also what color you got them, look like two versions are there wax, and black!

Only one color: Black.COLOUR WAX. Part: 5N0071680N 041

Thanks mate. I will first get these installed. If it did not work properly I will get OEM set as a backup plan. I am thinking painting all black plastics in different color. Gray color may be Not sure which colour go with the rest of the car though ..

Change all teh black parts to blue and you get the "R" colour theme and the polo WRC theme.

Good idea. I will have a look in to this. But don't want car to standout too much.

Best thing to do is get some painters tape and see if they fit properly and if you like the look before they glue them on, then it will be too late.

Thanks.. I did not use a LOC .. I just enabled the low power signals from VAGCOM cable and My Amp can even handle speaker level signals too.

For tapping in to RCD510 wires I used this cable:

Sorry for mining an old post about the upgrade of RCD510

I'm starting (again) down the audio upgrade path and had almost settled on an RNS510.
I have factory fit RCD310, MDI and BT and of course white MFD with steering wheel controls.
I only really listen to iPhone 5 through MDI and AM radio.
But I don't really need the sat nav so actually the RCD 510 would do, except I'd understood it couldn't be coded to give line outs.
You reckon it can and have done it?
Can you code just the fronts to be line out, leaving the rears as speaker level?
I guess there's no discrete sub out, so will have to derive that feed from L + R output ( which my amp will do and it has a remote sub volume control)?

What level/degree of DSP/EQ control do you get with RCD and is this different from RNS?

I also can't work out how you connect the RCAs to the head unit. You link to an eBay listing which is long gone and searching doesn't seem to throw up many clues except maybe a multi-pin plug with bare wires in case the factory harness has been destroyed; is that what you used?
